Our Story

Tio Lucho’s is a Peruvian restaurant from La Chingana chef Arnaldo Castillo and restauranteur Howard Hsu. The restaurant is inspired by Chef Castillo’s father “Luis”, a chef in Peru and Atlanta, who was affectionately known as Tio Lucho. In 2024, Chef Arnaldo was recognized as a Semi-Finalist for Best Chef: Southeast from the James Beard Foundation.

Reminiscent of his time growing up in Lima and Piura, Peru, the menu from Chef Arnaldo and Executive Sous Chef Manny Lara focuses on shareable seafood, meat and side dishes using seasonal ingredients sourced locally and imported from Peru in a relaxed, but refined atmosphere.

Expect ceviches tossed in leche de tigre and wok fired Lomo Saltados, as well as regional dishes from Northern Peru. All dishes may be shared amongst the table just the way Chef Arnaldo enjoys meals with his family in Peru and Atlanta.
